International personal injury claim platform, no realistic possibilities in Finland 6.2.2026

I got a message from Czech Republic. Mr Tom Cironis told, that one well known Finnish attorney had recommend to reach out to our office Lakiasiaintoimisto Suomen Potilasvahinkoapu. Czech Republic-based International personal injury claim platform, named Kompenzo told that they are helping clients to connect law firms in the Nordics & Southern Europe, and they are now planning to expand to Finland. Their goal is to generate potential clients looking for personal injury compensation and then connect them to law firms.

Mr Tom Cironis told that their value is to bring a significant number of leads, while they share the success fee among winning the clients’ cases.

I had to inform Kompenzo, that in Finland, that kind of practise in not realistic way for any part of claims. Compensation for personal injuries in Finland is in practice almost always paid through insurance. Potilasvahinkoapu’s objective is to ensure that our clients receive full compensation for their damages.

Compensation for non-material damage is relatively modest in Finland. The most significant head of damage is loss of earnings, which is compensated on the basis that the injured person would have continued working and earning their previous level of income.

The legal fees of attorneys are also generally covered by legal expenses insurance. As a result, in Finland we usually do not need to share compensation with our clients; if we succeed in the case, our clients receive the full compensation paid by the insurance company, subject only to a small deductible.

I told that in Finland, approximately 99% of personal injury claims are resolved through dispute resolution bodies other than the courts. Litigation is highly risky for private individuals due to the potential costs involved.

We handle only damages that have occurred in Finland. For these reasons, I unfortunately did not see realistic opportunities for cooperation with Czech Republic-based International company.
